There are so many bad habits in humans that it has even become some kind of norm, although it is not clear why this can even be considered the norm. People relate to these negative phenomena, precisely to something normal, precisely to something such that everyone should certainly have. Of course, this is not so, there is nothing positive in the fact that someone has negative habits that adversely affect his health and condition. But the harm from such habits, no doubt, can be very different, because some of them are much worse than others.
For example, take at least alcoholism, a bad habit that has become almost a household word. Why has it spread so much, although everyone seems to understand how harmful it is? It is not so easy to answer this question. But still there is a problem, it destroys lives and adversely affects not only individual lives, but also society as a whole. Therefore, it is worthwhile to examine in more detail this bad habit, which has long become something much larger. We will deal with this and analyze alcoholism in all its details, as thoroughly as possible, in order to understand all the threats that it carries in itself. After all, if we consider bad habits, of these, alcoholism will certainly be in the leading positions.
Let’s start with statistics that look quite intimidating and just that alone is a great warning. The fact is that every third person in the world dies precisely because of reasons that are somehow related to alcohol consumption. This is just a huge amount, if you remember how many millions die every day. Just think about it, every few seconds a person dies in the world, and one in three precisely because some of his organs began to work worse as a result of the consumption of alcoholic beverages is really scary, but there’s no getting around it.
No matter how frightening people with terrible statistics, no matter how frighten them with the negative influence of bad habits, they will not even think about how to get rid of what is ruining them. Of course, they do it in vain, but you cannot hide from the facts. As long as people exist, their destructive bad habits will exist. You can start with yourself, and if everyone did this, the world would be better, but, unfortunately, no one wants to start even with himself, and therefore sad statistics only continue to progress.
If the habit is harmful, is it logical to expect that it does not pass without a trace, but leads to some extremely negative consequences? Unfortunately, the way it is. The number of consequences is so great that one can only wonder why people, it would seem, intelligent creatures, are being led to this. And they don’t understand that there are so many problems that it would be high time to quit this addiction. For example, the heart and blood vessels are particularly affected. Most alcoholics die precisely from the problems that are associated with this.
In second place are problems with the liver. This is a real disaster, because the liver reacts to alcohol, like a bull to a red rag. So there is cirrhosis, fibrosis and other negative consequences, which can easily lead to the fact that a person no longer gets out from under them. But this is only part of the consequences that can be identified. In fact, there are much more. There is a negative effect on the digestive tract, and problems with other internal organs. And why are there only various social problems, which are so strong that the alcoholic, in fact, drops out of society, not having sufficient chances to return there. Is it worth it to drink in this case? This is certainly hardly a reasonable solution.
Why is it common?
There really are many problems with alcohol, but why do they exist? I mean, why do people start drinking alcohol? Is it really so? After all, it’s not that the tastiest thing in the world or a thing without which you can’t live. There are more social factors involved. The fact is that our society is not perfect regarding the fact that alcohol is the most accessible substance of the narcotic type. It has been proven that many officially banned in our country are much less dangerous than alcohol.
This does not mean that they need to be resolved, but why can anyone who wants to buy alcohol? Moreover, the prices for it are minimal. Take the example of the Scandinavian countries where alcohol is sold only in state-controlled supermarkets at prices that are knowingly overpriced. And the level of alcoholism is much lower. And here it turns out that even for 20 rubles a person in some supermarkets can buy a bottle of cheap beer. So, here is a man with a low income, he does not earn much, he has problems, he is trying to drink up his misfortune. What is he doing? Of course, he goes to the store for a bottle. This is what happens, and as a result, an entire nation begins to degrade, not to mention individuals.
Is it possible to overcome the problem? If you capture this bad habit in time, then of course you can. Of course, it is worth starting with the willpower, directly, of the alcoholic, who must realize how problematic his situation is. If this does not help, then you should try some fairly simple folk remedies, which are many. There are also various drugs that you can take as prescribed by your doctor. If everything is up and running, then it’s worth looking like a meeting of anonymous alcoholics, where a person will be helped to understand that he is far from alone.
Well, if everything has reached some very critical stage, when there is nothing to be done, when it turns out that the consequences have consumed the person, there is nothing left but to send the person for treatment to the clinic. A neatly written program will help him get rid of the problem step by step. In addition, the physiological consequences that arose in a person who succumbed to temptation and began to abuse alcoholic beverages without any measure would be eliminated as much as possible.
Alcoholism is hardly a simple problem. This is the real scourge of modern society. This is a problem that is so great that it is worth reckoning with. Yes, it cannot be eradicated just like that, but you can start to do it step by step. It’s worth starting with yourself. It is also worth helping your near and dear ones. And if everyone does this, if everyone shows due awareness, then in the end the world will become a little healthier, a little more enjoyable. Then it will be possible to worry less about the fact that the children will grow up in a place that is not so favorable for them. Try not to deal with alcoholism – and everything will become a little better, and everything you will certainly become much easier.
