Naphthyzine is a universal drug among drug addicts. People dependent on psychotropic substances inject the solution into the eyes and veins. Drops enhance the effect of drugs, they are used to dissolve psychotropic drugs.
Description of the drug and its purpose
These are inexpensive nasal drops. The solution is used to treat rhinitis and sinusitis, relieve nasal congestion.
- nafazolin – an active ingredient in the drug;
- boric acid and water are additional substances.
The medication narrows the vessels of the mucous layer for a long time. Relieves redness, swelling and exudate production. Drops restore nasal breathing. On the 5-7th day of application to the medicine, tolerance occurs.
After narrowing of the vessels, the absorption of the components of the solution decreases. With frequent instillation, the constituent drops are partially absorbed into the blood, which sometimes leads to a rise in pressure.
Why addicts Naftizin
The composition of nasal drops includes a bioactive compound, which tone the central nervous system and brain activity. Addicts acquire drugs with a vasodilating effect due to the fact that they contain a stimulant.
In Naphthyzin, heroin is usually dissolved. A combined remedy is used to:
- increase euphoria;
- extend the time spent in the surreal world;
- create unthinkable pictures in a distorted consciousness;
- to experience incredible sensations.
Nasal drops without psychoactive substances are not able to cause drug intoxication when instilled into the nasal passages, ingested or injected. Pure Naphthyzin does not lead to drug addiction.
Addiction to the drug is not associated with psychotropic effects. The solution is needed by patients to increase the strength of heroin. Dependence occurs if the medication is taken simultaneously with drugs.
A psychotropic effect occurs when the patient administers an intravenous solution prepared with his own hand.
Addicts, using drops, cause traditional effects from them:
- narrowing of blood vessels;
- pupil change.
In this way, patients try to disguise the use of hash, marijuana, cocaine. Dilated pupils are the first sign that a person is using drugs. When instilling naphthyzin in the eyes, the blood vessels contract for 2-5 minutes, and the pupil decreases to normal size.
Addicts use drops when they need to be in a public place after taking psychotropic substances. At the same time, the appearance of a person does not cause suspicion among others. Teens often use Naphthyzin to hide drug use from relatives.
Consequences of excessive use of Naphthyzin
In patients exceeding the dosage and duration of the course (3 days), complications develop:
- irreversible transformation of the mucous layer in the sinuses and canals;
- drug rhinitis;
- persistent nasal congestion.
Shortness of breath encourages patients to use drops on a regular basis. But such addiction does not apply to true dependence on psychotropic substances.
If adults and children regularly inject the solution into their nose, they will not become drug addicts. They will develop two negative consequences:
- Nasal breathing disorder. Congestion becomes chronic.
- Psychological addiction to the drug. Discomfort disappears as soon as the patient injects drops into the nose.
Intravenous use of the solution leads to severe intoxication and death. Poisoning is accompanied by the following symptoms:
- throbbing headaches (in slang this is called “hammers”);
- nausea-vomiting syndrome;
- hypertension (a sharp jump in pressure);
Addicts are often poisoned with Naphthyzine, using the solution in combination with narcotic substances. According to statistics, only 20% of patients do not breed psychotropic drugs with nasal solutions.
Is droplet dependence possible?
A quick addiction to Naphthyzine occurs if a person seeks to enhance with his help the psychotropic patterns that occur after taking drugs. Dependence on the remedy appears only when used together with heroin or other potent psychogenic substance.
The solution is added to drugs when the brightness and power of sensations from the use of psychoactive drugs decline. In this way, a sick person tries to return to their original high.
The condition of drug addicts and people burdened with a runny nose does not worsen after the abolition of nasal drops. Rhinitis flows in a classic form without breaking, arising in the absence of psychotropic substances.
Erroneous opinions about the use of Naphthyzine by drug addicts
It is believed that drug users use the drug for three reasons:
- the composition of the drops includes ephedrine – a powerful stimulant;
- the drug helps to fall into a trance similar to the euphoria obtained from amphetamine;
- the medicine contains manganese – a mineral that can affect the functioning of the nervous system.
But this is just a myth. In drops there is no ephedrine and manganese. The drug does not have a psychotropic effect.
To achieve the maximum possible euphoria, patients inject a solution of Naphthyzine with amphetamine or another drug into a vein.
Doctors do not classify Naphthyzine as psychoactive drugs that provoke drug addiction. But increased dosages of the drug are addictive, and in combination with psychotropic substances, drops lead to increased drug dependence on psychoactive substances, in particular on heroin.
